Do It Now
Hello there,
…And so i had realized that it was only in that moment, that i had the power to do the laundry… if i did not put the sock in the laundry basket right then… I would have never have done it. I had the power in my hands right there. I could control my future. If I didn’t do my laundry right there, I would have had to have done it later at an even more annoying time.

Intro
What i want to talk about is the importance of now. I learned this trick from Brian Tracy: repeat to yourself constantly: (do it now)*3
it is through the use of repeating this phrase that it gives you the activation energy to start whatever task you are working on.
A “mental law” i learned from Brian tracy is called
As said by Brian Tracy, the mind can only hold one idea at a time.
This means you can replace negative thoughts with positive ones. For example:
When you catch yourself thinking "I'm too tired to exercise today," you can immediately substitute it with "I'll feel more energized after I exercise for just 10 minutes." This positive substitution helps overcome procrastination.
The Law of Substitution is particularly effective when combined with “Do it now”.
The Important thing to remember
use:
positive (polarity)
polarity is a term in linguistics that refers to whether statements are affirmative (positive polarity) or negative (negative polarity) in language.
Saying "Don't procrastinate" actually focuses your mind on procrastinationing Negative commands still bring the prohibited concept into awareness. However, you are better than such an inferior concept. You can control your actions. You cna focus your mind on what you want.
Frame instructions positively instead: "Take immediate action" directs your mind toward the desired behavior without mentioning negative concepts.
dont waste your time with thinking of bad things

The idea here is to believe that you have success now.
you may find that you feel like it is lying to say that you feel terrific or that you make x amount of dollars
Hal Elrod’s great solution to this is to say “I am commited to _____”
this removes the possible uneasy feeling some people get when they say something that deep down they know is isnt currently true.
as long as you are commited….
if you arent commited to achievign your goals then maybe reevaluate why you havent accomplished your goals.
it is these questions that will bring you the answers you seek. What got you here wont get you there
Personal
if you are saying this to yourself (rather than an audio on your phone or casette tape), then “I” works best. on an external audio, you can use “you” (to refer to yourself)
so it would sound like:
I feel terrific
i feel wonderful
dont forget to move your body if you want the full effect
say you feel terrific and move your arms wiht conviction
try it, seriously. i am telling you, this will change your life. it will change your lide because you will realize you can change your emotional state at any moment. (ehich theorytically could severly reduce procrasticnatioj to 0)

during this time, that i say these words. my brain isnt thinking about the stress, it is thinking, “oh wow, you know what i do feel wonderful”. you know what i AM a winner.

If you are not sure if repeating to yourself do it now and the Affirmaitons will work for you. try them.
can you commit to it once a day?
could you find some time to tell yourself that you are strong?
Would you commit to repeating the phrase do it now 3 times (or howvever many you need. for a couple days. lets say 2 days
so if today is monday morning. could you use the phrase today up unutl tomorrow night?
the most important exercise to try:
the next time you are faced with a task you REALLY don’t feel like doing. Will you bombard your Brain with “Do It Now”?
