The Guitar Blueprint (For Beginners)
Hello There,
So today we are going to look at the beginner’s map for guitar. of course there is more to the map. However, once you learn
Open Chords: GCAD
Barre Chords: 6th + 5th Root
Major + Minor
Once you know the shape of a barre chord you can just “copy and paste” it anywhere and you will be fine.
so below you will see the F major barre chord. if you use the exact same shape. but just move your hand up the neck (to the next fret) you will get the next chord. (F# Major)
You will be able to do what ever you want on the guitar and nobody will be able to stop you becasue you will have sufficient guitar knowledge just learn and expand your guitar skillset.
Lets look at what we are doing now
Open Chords
Remember don’t play any string with an “x” on it
G
middle finger on 3rd fret on the string that is closest to your face
that is the Low E stirng
so 3rd fret Low E string
Fun fact - there are many guitar players who learned to play upside down guitar because they were left handed
Index finger on 2nd fret A string
just under the Low E string
Ring Finger on 3rd fret high E string.
High E = string closest to floor
C
index on 1st fret B string
middle finger on 2nd fret of 4th string (D String, under A string)
Ring Finger on 3rd fret 5th string
A
[String, Fret]
index = D2
Middle = G2
Ring = B2
D
index = G2
